You can promote merchants' products through a mobile app. Essentially the promotion methods for app publishers are the same as publishers promoting through a website (text links, banners, Datafeed. See the articles: How to Grab a Link and How to Create Short Links).
There are, however, several things to be considered for app affiliates such as:
- if the merchant's site is mobile optimized. This means that the merchant's site has been optimized for mobile devices, is using a separate mobile site or responsive design, and that tracking is implemented on the mobile site. You will want to confirm this directly with them. You can contact your merchants by going to Account > Manage/Leave Programs > Contact.
- if the advertiser has in-app tracking. You can confirm this directly with them. If the merchant does not have in-app tracking, make sure to direct users to the browser within the affiliate's app, not to the merchant's app.
