Typically, when an Affiliate submits an application for your program you will manually review their application and approve or decline them as you see fit. However, if you know there are certain types of Affiliates that you do or don’t want to work with, you can set up Approval Rules in order to automate this process based on specific conditions being met. You can set up Approval Rules here.
For example, you have the ability to set up an Approval Rule if you’d like to only work with Affiliates that are based in the United States. You can set up this Approval Rule by following these steps:
Go to AFFILIATES > Approval Rules
Click ‘New Application Rule’
Select ‘Automatically Decline’ from the drop-down menu
Click ‘Add Condition’
Click ‘Country’ under the Location column
Select ‘IS NOT’ from the drop-down menu, select 'United States' from the list of countries, and click ‘Continue’
Click the orange ‘Save’ button at the bottom of the page
Your new Approval Rule should look like this:
You also have the ability to set up an Approval Rule to automatically decline Affiliates that list themselves as ‘coupon’ websites on the network by following these steps:
Go AFFILIATES > Approval Rules
Click 'New Application Rule'
Select 'Automatically Decline' from the drop down menu
Click 'Add Condition'
Select 'Site uses coupons' under the Promotional Techniques column
Select 'Require True' from the drop-down menu and click 'Continue'
Click the orange 'Save' button at the bottom of the page
Please note that while this rule will likely get rid of the majority of the coupon websites applying to your program, the Affiliates themselves control whether or not they list their program as promoting coupons.
Your new Approval Rule should look like this:
On the other hand, you can also automatically approve Affiliates based on certain conditions being met, such as their Feedback Score. For example, you can set up an Approval Rule to automatically approve Affiliates that have a Feedback Score that’s greater than '5' by following these steps:
Go AFFILIATES > Approval Rules
Click 'New Application Rule'
Select 'Automatically Approve' from the drop down menu
Click 'Add Condition'
Select ‘Feedback Score’ under the Account Details column
Select ‘Is Greater Than’ from the drop-down menu, enter '5' in the blank field, and click 'Continue'
Click the orange 'Save' button at the bottom of the page
