You will assign a Default Commission Rate (otherwise known as your “base” rate) for your affiliate program that will be applied to all of the Affiliates that join your program. In addition to your Default Commission Rate, you do have the ability to assign a custom rate - a commission rate that’s different than your Default Rate - for a specific Affiliate in your program at any time. When you assign a custom rate for a specific Affiliate in your program, you’re setting them up with an Affiliate Individual Default Rate.
You can set up a custom commission rate for a specific Affiliate in your program at any time by following these steps:
Go to your Affiliate List
Click the appropriate Affiliate to view their Affiliate Info page (you can search for a specific Affiliate by entering their Name or ID in the search bar at the top of the page)
On their Affiliate Info page, click 'edit' in the top right corner (located above their listed Default Commission per Sale)
Click the plus sign next to 'Add a Personalized Rate' (under Per Sale Commission)
Enter the appropriate commission percentage and click 'Update'
By following the steps listed above, you'll have set up an Affiliate Individual Default Rate for this specific Affiliate. So, when this Affiliate generates a transaction for your program, they'll receive their Affiliate Individual Default Rate as opposed to your program's Default Rate.
