Once you’ve sent a Newsletter to your Affiliates you’ll have the ability to view high-level stats and reporting associated with your Newsletter, such as:
Newsletter Open Rate
Newsletter Bounce Rate
Which specific Affiliate(s) opened your Newsletter
Which specific Affiliate(s) bounced back
You can view the stats associated with a specific Newsletter by going to the Newsletter Archive. On this page, you’ll click the ‘Report’ button to the right of the Newsletter you’d like to view. Once you’ve opened the report for a specific Newsletter you’ll be able to view how many Affiliates received your Newsletter, how many Affiliates opened your Newsletter, the open rate, the number of bounces, and the bounce rate. Please note that we can only track the open rate for a Newsletter if it's sent as an HTML Newsletter. Even if you include the !!TRACKOPEN!! macro in your Newsletter, if it’s sent as a Text Newsletter we will not be able to track the open rate (it will simply display '0' opens).
You can also click the ‘+' button on the left side of the report to expand the report view. This will allow you to view which specific Affiliates have/have not opened your Newsletter at that time, as well as which Affiliates bounced back. There are a couple bounce types that you may see displayed in your reporting, and we’ve outlined what they mean below:
A soft bounce means that the email address was valid and the email message reached the recipient’s mail server. However, common reasons it bounced back include:
The mailbox was full (the user is over their quota)
The recipient’s server was down
The message was too large for the recipient’s inbox
A hard bounce occurs when the message has been permanently rejected either because:
The email address is invalid
The email address doesn’t exist
