The feedback scores displayed for each Affiliate are based on feedback left by Merchants they're working with/have worked with. Every Affiliate starts with a feedback score of '0' when they join the network, and as Merchants leave feedback for an Affiliate their feedback score will fluctuate. Positive feedback results in a '+1' and negative feedback results in a '-1' for their overall feedback score. So, Affiliates that have received a lot of positive feedback from their Merchant partners will generally have higher feedback scores.
There is no benchmark score that we consider an Affiliate to be fully active or experienced. Typically, if an Affiliate has a high feedback score they're likely working with, or have worked with, Merchants with success. It's also possible that an Affiliate may be an experienced partner, however, they may be newer to the platform or Merchants may have decided not to leave feedback for the Affiliate, so their feedback score may not be as high.
While the feedback score itself is important, the actual feedback being left by Merchants is just as important, if not more so. We recommend reviewing the individual feedback notes left by Merchants to get a sense of their relationships with the Affiliate.
While an Affiliate's feedback score does not directly correlate to how well they'll perform in your program, it does provide a quick glance into their relationships with Merchants on the network. If you have any specific questions about an Affiliate it's best to contact them directly to discuss your potential partnership further.
