At ShareASale, we're constantly working to enhance the security and experience of our valued partners. Following the addition of Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) for publishers earlier this year, starting Tuesday, January 2, 2024, any manual issuing of transactions or changes made to your login permissions and contact info (including phone number) will require additional 2FA verification through either an SMS or email code.
What do you need to do?
Between now and the end of the year, please:
- Log into your ShareASale merchant account
- Navigate to My Account > Account Details
- Under the Account Details tab, ensure you have an accurate, easily accessible phone number and email address listed.
- Under Logins, ensure that every additional login is also set up with accurate contact information to be used for 2FA within those users.
This simple step will go a long way in securing your account and be essential when manually inserting transactions, and updating your contact info and user permissions going forward.
If you have 2FA set up for your account’s primary user login, you will only need to perform that verification when logging in and not for any individual action within the account. You can set up 2FA for your primary user login by navigating to My Account > Account Details and editing the Login Protection setting.
Benefits for you
This security enhancement is designed with you in mind. By implementing 2FA, we're strengthening the protection of your account, making it less vulnerable to cyberattacks. Your trust and security are paramount to us, and this update reflects our commitment to your safety.
